Vacation Bible Adventure--Daniel in Babylon  July 29-August 1, 6-7:45pm

Come join us this year for Vacation Bible Adventure from Sunday, July 29th to Wednesday, August 1st from 6-7:45pm.  This intergenerational program of all ages of adults and children will visit ancient Babylon and learn the story of Daniel's courage-from his capture in Jerusalem to his rescue from a den of lions.

You'll be able to experience the exotic sounds, sights, smells and drama as you enter the Marketplace. Sample tidbits from the Food Court of items typically eaten during that time period. And you'll encounter daily visits with Daniel and Ashpenaz, the king's chief of staff, that bring Daniel's adventures to life while he is held captive by King Nebuchadnezzar.
All are welcome to attend for all four evenings or just one. This is a fun time for everyone.
For more information or if you're interested in helping, contact Ruth C or Amy N.

Sunday School for Children & Youth at Lebanon UMC

Sunday School Theme for Fall: We Celebrate Jesus and his Teaching to Love One Another

All of our classes follow the “Safe Sanctuary” rules with two unrelated adults in every classroom. Children are released to parents or other designated adult after worship.

On Communion Sunday, the first Sunday of the month, we have a Family Worship service. Everyone over the age of 4 is invited to worship together in the Sanctuary (nursery care is provided for those 4 and under).

*Nursery Care for infants through 4 year olds is offered every Sunday during the entire worship service. Parents are welcome to stay in nursery with child. Worship can be piped into the Nursery Room.

*Discussion for Youth Grades 6-12 convenes in the Parlor after Children’s Time during the last 3 (or 4) Sundays of each month.  Youth will ENCOUNTER, ENGAGE, and RESPOND to a character from the New Testament through a DVD and creative discussion and activities.

*One Room Sunday School for Grades K-5 gathers in the classroom after Children’s Time.

The Sundays of the Month for Elementary Children:

  • 1st Sunday: Family Worship and Communion
  • 2nd Sunday: Creative Sunday (crafts, movement, dance, drama)
  • 3rd, 4th, 5th Sundays: Traditional Bible Lessons from “Deep Blue” Methodist Curriculum for Elementary Age Children published by Cokesbury.
